MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK

An unforgettable trip to a national park; considered one of the most beautiful in Costa Rica. You will get an early start, taking the Central Pacific beach route until reaching Manuel Antonio National Park. When you reach the bridge over the Tárcoles River, you will make a short stop to check out huge caimans sunning themselves on the riverbanks. Your journey continues toward Manuel Antonio National Park along the scenic Southern Coastal Highway through African palm plantations and several towns dotting the Pacific Coast, until reaching the port of Quepos. Here bananas used to be shipped off for export; today the port serves fishermen. Upon arrival you will take a walk along the trails to look at the park's flora and fauna. Some of the most outstanding fauna includes raccoons, coatimundis, agoutis, two-toed sloths, capuchin monkeys, large cats and the park's endangered endemic subspecies of squirrel monkeys. There are also abundant marine animals such as moray eels, manta rays, angelfish, sea urchins and starfish. After the walk, your guide will take you to one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the national park, where you will have plenty of time to bathe in the crystalline waters or simply soak up the sun.
